Welcome

Hi, I’m Christine

I am so excited that you are here!

It has been a dream of mine to start a blog where I can share our homeschool journey, mom hobbies, my love for Jesus, talk with you about my favorite books and encourage all my mom friends in all the seasons of life; as they raise their kiddos, launch them into the world and become empty nesters.

On the blog you can expect to find practical homeschooling advice, life skills learning, how to create a study that works with your child’s passions, book reviews for the entire family and encouragement for all the seasons.

I invite you to let me come alongside you in your journey, to help you to go beyond just surviving with your children, to thriving with them.

Where this all began

By the time our first child was two years old, I knew that I wanted to be a part of her everyday life for as long as possible. The thought of sending her away for at least eight hours each day was not for me. Now twenty-nine years and five children later I have no regrets on our decision to live life together at home.

Was it always easy? Absolutely not!

Did I do everything the right way? No

Did I sometimes worry that I was going to mess up my child’s education? I definitely had those thoughts.

Would I choose this journey of learning with our children all over again? Yes, Yes, Yes!!

I was just a normal mom who loved being with her children, one who wanted to build a relationship with them and to learn to love and enjoy learning together as a family.

I’m still learning with my children and now our grandchildren. I invite you to come along as I share our past experiences and also as I continue my journey with the family.
